So, you want to be a vendor...? As the Good Catch Craft Fairs operate somewhat differently than other craft fairs, here is some information you should know: a) The fairs are run through rotating curation. This means that someone different picks and invites all the vendors for each fair. b) The fairs operate to support work that is handmade, original, local and/or community oriented. If your work does not fit into any of these catagories, it is probably not the correct venue for your wares. c) The fairs also attempt to book vendors selling things that are different from one another. Because we also rebook vendors from the original collective that formed these shows, this does make some catagories harder to book new vendors into than others. d) Once invited, the fairs are totally free to participate in. e) You do not need to sell things to participate in the fairs. If you are involved in a crafty cause or group, you are also welcome to apply to simply disseminate information. Likewise, you can apply to give appropriate things away for free. You can also propose and interactive event, performance or installation. f) The Good Catch Craft Fairs do not book food vendors. Food vendors whose goods are carried in the store are sometimes booked through Jola and Daniel at Good Catch. Feel free to email the store if you are interested in such a thing. Towards booking the shows with these methods and values in mind, we have created vendor information sheets that will go into a lovely portable file to be perused by curators monthly. These info sheets can be found below and can be emailed to craftfairs [at] goodcatch [dot] ca or printed out and dropped off at the fairs. We very much look forward to viewing the things you make.
